Quite substantial talks between the Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan were held in Washington through the mediation of the US Secretary of  State, however, for obvious reasons, nothing was signed, but the  parties did not come to a common denominator. Stepan Grigoryan, head  of the Analytical Center for Globalization and Regional Cooperation,  stated this on November 8 at a press conference in Yerevan.

As reported by TASS, he said this, speaking on  October 7 at a session in the European Parliament.  "Unfortunately,  in the current conditions, the escalation of the conflict and the  involvement of regional players in it cannot be ruled out. This can  seriously undermine the stability of the region. I discussed this  situation with the Russian Foreign Minister, I also discussed this  situation with the Turkish Foreign Minister - two key regional  players, stressing the need for regional powers to refrain from  rhetoric and actions that could fuel a conflict, "he said.
